About ICC
The International Certificate of Competency (ICC) was created under UNECE Resolution 40, which established a common certification standard for pleasure craft operators in European inland and coastal waters.
Only citizens of countries who adopted Resolution 40 — such as the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Croatia, and others — can typically receive the ICC.
Canadians cannot obtain it from these authorities. IYT is the only North American organization authorized to issue ICCs to Canadian citizens worldwide.
